Process Insights Industries About Start a Conversation

The people behind the work.

Winfield & Andrew is built around a shared conviction: that the right conversation, facilitated by the right intermediary, reveals what organizations most need to know — and changes what becomes possible.

Thomas Winfield Pettus-Czar

Thomas Winfield Pettus-Czar is co-founder of Winfield & Andrew and leads the firm's relationship intelligence practice—working with leaders across industries, in any field where relationships and reputation drive success.

His work is grounded in a simple conviction: most organizations are operating with incomplete visibility into their most important relationships—and that the right conversation, facilitated by the right intermediary, changes what becomes possible.

Thomas brings an uncommon combination of operator, governance, and advisory experience. He has worked inside the construction industry as owner of Temporary Wall Systems Willamette Valley, an occupied-space renovation containment business serving Oregon construction companies. He has spent nearly a decade in credit union governance, currently serving as Board Chair of Peak Credit Union, a multi-billion dollar institution. He has also led strategy across multiple industries as both a founder and executive.

He is co-owner of Farmers Union Coffee Roasters in Eugene, Oregon, where he lives with his wife Leah and their family. His work focuses on helping leaders access and act on the relationship dynamics that shape their business—but rarely surface directly.

Ethan Andrew Holub

Ethan Andrew Holub is co-founder of Winfield & Andrew, a relationship intelligence firm serving leaders in architecture, engineering, construction, and professional services.

Ethan's work has been defined by one consistent thread: building relationships that hold. Over the course of his career, he has helped start and scale more than forty businesses, nonprofits, and organizations across all fifty states and more than seventy-five countries—building networks that operate with a high degree of trust and shared purpose.

He brings direct industry experience to the W&A practice. His work in property restoration at BELFOR—one of the largest restoration contractors in the world—placed him at the center of the contractor, insurance, and property owner relationships that define the construction ecosystem. His background in client relations within the construction industry extends that experience, giving him deep exposure to how trust is built, strained, and maintained across complex, multi-party projects.

Ethan is motivated by a faith-rooted belief that strong, trust-based relationships—across business, community, and family—are among the most valuable assets a person can build and steward. That conviction is foundational to his work at Winfield & Andrew.

He lives in Eugene, Oregon with his wife Christine and their family.

Jesse Aguero
Jesse Aguero

Jesse Aguero has spent over thirty years in the rooms where Eugene's organizations do their hardest work — leading through transition, building cultures that hold, and helping people at the top find their footing when the path isn't clear.

He currently serves as Executive Director of Thrive Housing Network and leads JAG Consulting, LLC, an executive coaching practice serving leaders navigating major career transitions and building sustainable rhythms. Jesse holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation and an Advanced Certificate in Transformational Coaching, working with clients locally and internationally. He also owns and operates JAG Built, LLC, a Eugene-based general contracting firm.

Jesse's career has moved through a wide range of organizational leadership — directing regional nonprofits, leading a church's leadership ministry, and directing Young Life in Eugene. That breadth has given him something rare — a firsthand understanding of what stakeholder relationships look like from inside an organization under pressure. His relational experience is grounded in the capacity to read the dynamics between people, not just the problems on the org chart.

Jesse graduated from the University of Oregon and has called Eugene home ever since. He and his wife Amy have been married for twenty-five years and are the parents of two.

Evan D. Baldwin, MD
Evan D. Baldwin, MD

Evan D. Baldwin, MD has spent his career building healthcare organizations at the intersection of clinical leadership and institutional trust — developing treatment systems that are both clinically excellent and structurally sound enough to survive the relationship complexity of the sector.

His work with Winfield & Andrew extends the firm's relationship intelligence practice into healthcare and behavioral health. His conviction, drawn from years of operating inside that world, is that the relationships surrounding clinical care—with referring providers, regulatory bodies, payers, and the communities served—are rarely measured, often misread, and decisive to an organization's trajectory. In a sector where a single strained referral or a regulator's quiet loss of confidence can reshape what's possible, the ability to hear what stakeholders actually think is a genuine strategic advantage.

Evan brings direct operator experience to that conviction. He built Recovery Services of New Mexico from a single clinic into that state's largest substance use disorder treatment organization—serving simultaneously as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer across a multi-site enterprise of hundreds of employees before its acquisition in 2020. He co-founded and led a regional clinical laboratory serving providers across the Southwest, and served as president of both the New Mexico Society of Addiction Medicine and the New Mexico Opioid Treatment Association—roles that placed him inside the coalitions, credentialing bodies, and funding structures that shape how healthcare is actually delivered.

Evan lives with his family in Scottsdale, Arizona.
